I was recently asked to design a set of bachelorette party invitations. They were to act mostly as a memento since most of the girls who were attending already knew the details of the evening. I wanted to create something simple, summery, mature, and fun. Since the bride is a huge Shakespeare fan, I was asked to incorporate the above quote. The simple chartreuse martini glass equals automatic girls night! I packaged them up using a chartreuse envelope and pool ribbon.

One of my most favorite parts of designing is the beginning stages. Lots of brainstorming, cutting/pasting and sketching is involved and it is a great way to get the creative energy flowing. This inspiration board was designed for a fall wedding later this year and the bride wants to use browns and perhaps incorporate a simple seasonal motif. In my research I found many options and ways to play around with she is looking for. I’ve been trying to design inspiration boards for all brides I’ve worked with lately just because it allows them (and the groom!) to chime in and be creative along with me!

I thoroughly enjoy repetition in design. It creates pattern, texture, and is just plain interesting to the eye. For this set of 10 cards, I took a circle hole punch to create the shapes and arranged them on the folded notecard. For a custom touch, add your name to the bottom right corner. Matching envelopes included.

For all items in the suite, I decided to go print on a metallic rose cardstock and use a rich black cardstock for mounting purposes and to add some extra weight.

We carried the pink and black throughout the evening, onto the ceremony programs, table numbers, and place cards as well.
